Broken Bat Brewing Co. Collaborates With Marquette University

Broken Bat Brewing Company is excited to announce along with Marquette University and Blue And Gold Brewing Co. the highly anticipated release of ’77 Golden Ale’ on Saturday, February 4th, National Marquette Day

Owner Tim Pauly is a proud 2010 Marquette Alum, and is incredibly excited to be a part of the release of ’77 Golden Ale’! Inspired by the 1977 National Championship team and all of the nostalgia that goes along with it.

“Cold, Bold, And Gold” is how this collaborative beer has been billed for this very special release, and it fulfills every adjective. This brew is a light, crisp Golden Ale that was made in collaboration with Blue & Gold Brewing Co., a Marquette student-run business venture, and fellow Marquette alumni in the craft beer industry in Gathering Place Brewing Co. and Good City Brewing Co. Released on National Marquette Day, this beer is a true must-have for any Marquette Golden Eagle. “Authentically Milwaukee, Uniquely Marquette” was chosen as the slogan to celebrate this collaboration, the first of its kind in the city of Milwaukee.

This eagerly anticipated beer will be available on tap and in 4-packs to-go starting at Noon on February 4th. Craft beer enthusiasts and Marquette fans will need to swing by the Walker’s Point taproom to grab their share of the Cold, Bold, and Gold ale. As 1 of 9 locations where the beer is being sold (including at the arena on gameday), Golden Eagle fans will be flocking to nearby Milwaukee breweries and taprooms to get their share of this rare beer. Be sure to stop in the taproom if you want a taste, as availability will be EXTREMELY limited and we expect the kegs and cans to fly.

Whether you’re swinging by the taproom before, during, or after the game, Broken Bat will be your gameday home to celebrate a National Marquette Day unlike any other. Don’t forget that we’ve got a ton of other brews on tap and in cans as well! Gather up your fellow alums and fans for our annual holiday and a truly unique opportunity to taste an authentically Marquette beer! Head to your nearest Walker’s Point craft brewery to experience this first of its kind release!
