New Broken Bat Brews!

Broken Bat Brewing Company is celebrating the return of Spring Training by lighting up the Milwaukee Craft Beer scene with 2 new beers. ‘Ball and Glove’ and ‘Dead Red’ are both set to hit tap lines in the brewery in the middle of February, right when pitchers and catchers are expected to report.

Head Brewer at Broken Bat Karl Osterman provides us with a little background on the new brews, and what customers can expect when they taste these new beers in the Walker’s Point Taproom and out in the market.

‘Ball and Glove’ is the brewery’s new classic American Cream Ale. Coming in at 4.9% ABV, the beer consists of a 2 row base malt and flaked maize, designed to give beer enthusiasts an updated take on traditional European lagers. The new beer represents two vital components of baseball, just as a cream ale is a necessary part of any craft brewery’s repertoire.

‘Dead Red’ represents another new take on a classic style for the brewery with the new American Amber Ale coming in at 5.3% ABV. Drinkers can expect a beer that will have the distinctive color and taste an amber should present. ‘Dead Red’ has hints of caramel, molasses, and biscuit with a smooth and well-balanced bitterness.

Head Brewer Karl Osterman adds hops to the new brew

The name and branding for ‘Dead Red’  almost speaks for itself. This tried and true Amber is similar to a hitter looking to square up a fastball down the middle of the plate. They know what they’re gonna get, and when they do, they’re gonna crush it.

‘Ball and Glove’ and ‘Dead Red’ will be two essential beers for anyone interested in Milwaukee’s craft beer scene. Swing down to the Walker’s Point taproom to try these 2 new can’t miss brews for yourself, or look for them out in a store near you!
